Letter No. 6

To, Brajanath Soam:

Of all objects, Krishna is the form, while Radha is the expression. The mingling and mixing of these two have decked the universe in all its beauty. Separately, the form and the expression are not discernable. Beauty is not possible unless the two are jointly present. Wherever the Lord has taken a form, Radha has taken refuge in Him in a suitable expression. It is this that is called Jugal Milan of Radha and Krishna. One cannot stay without the other even for a moment. Thus do they enchant the world and play at Rasa. Entering into this place, Siva, Brahma have all forgotten themselves and have been entranced. The whole universe is in this play. Whoever is nearer the centre, has a lesser speed of rotation, and so can observe the union more steadily than the one who is farther. Those, who are farther away from the centre, can neither observe nor understand any thing; observing just a few things near about, they consider them to be everything and delude themselves by trying to catch hold of these things. You must realize in heart of hearts that your only goal is Radha-Krishna and in order to hold them, you must move towards them. I have given a skeleton. Deck it out properly and you will have a very pleasant sight.
