The whole universe is encompassed by this play.I know well that in this My play not a single being has suffered pain in any degree whatever; on the contrary many have derived pleasure therefrom. This play is a difficult one. Do not mar it in an unguarded moment, even by mistake do not once try to find out the end of the play.”

“খেলিতেই আসিয়াছি এবং চিরকালই খেলিব। এ বিশ্বের প্রত্যেক বিষয়ই আমার এবং আমি প্রত্যেকটির। সারা বিশ্ব ব্যাপিয়া এই খেলা। আমি বেশ জানি, আমার এ বারের এই খেলায় কোন জীবেরই কোন রূপ ক্লেশের কারণ হই নাই; বরং অনেকেই আনন্দ পেয়েছে। এ বড় শক্ত খেলা। অসতর্ক হয়ে যেন ইহা পণ্ড ক’রে ফেল না কিম্বা ভুলেও যেন ইহার সমাপ্তি দেখিতে ইচ্ছা ক’র না।”
