“Look, love based on deliberation or philosophy may again be destroyed with the help of deliberation or philosophy: But Love or Prema that springs of itself from the heart may remain suppressed but is not altogether destroyed. In a sleeping condition that waits for the time, when the proper time comes it wakes again. Why do you love me – if some one asks you this question you cannot show any special reason. This is not a matter of wonder. Your love for me is not based on deliberation or philosophy. Previously also I had been to this stage, had played together with you, formed various relations. So, as soon as you see me the previous love in your heart awakes. Not understanding the cause you often become ashamed or surprised.”

“দেখ, বিচার বা দর্শনের উপর ভিত্তি করিয়া যে ভালবাসা , তাহা বিচার বা দর্শনের সাহায্যেই আবার নষ্ট হইয়া যাইতে পারে । কিন্তু হৃদয় হইতে স্বয়ং উদ্ভূত যে প্রেম বা ভালবাসা তাহা চাপা থাকিতে পারে কিন্তু একেবারে নষ্ট হয় না । সুষুপ্ত অবস্থায় তাহা কাল (সময়) কে অপেক্ষা করে , নির্দিষ্ট কাল আসিলে আবার জাগিয়া উঠে । তােমরা আমাকে কেন ভালবাস এ কথা তােমাদিগকে কেহ জিজ্ঞাসা করিলে তােমরা বিশেষ কোন কারণ দেখাইতে পার না । এ আশ্চৰ্য্য কথা নহে । আমার উপর তােমাদের ভালবাসা বিচার বা দর্শনের উপর ভিত্তি করিয়া হয় নাই । আমি পূৰ্ব্বেও এ রঙ্গমঞ্চে আসিয়াছি , তােমাদের সহিত একত্র খেলিয়াছি , নানা সম্বন্ধ পাতাইয়াছি । সুতরাং আমাকে দেখিবামাত্র তােমাদের হৃদয়ে পূর্বের ভালবাসা জাগিয়া উঠে । তােমরা কারণ না বুঝিয়া অনেক সময় লজ্জিত বা বিস্মিত হও ।”
