“I neither fear nor hesitate to carry the burden of your sins on my head. Tell all you come across to lay the burden of their sins on my head and being purged pure and free from all their sin to sing the praise of the Lord with all their heart. Purgatory has no dread for me.If I see you living happily and in love, I can joyfully spend my time in hell even.”

“তোমাদের সকল পাপের বোঝা মাথায় লইতে কোনও ভয়ও করি না, কিংবা কুন্ঠিতও হই না । যাকে পাবে, বলে দিও যেন আপন আপন পাপের বোঝা আমার মাথায় চাপাইয়া তারা নিষ্পাপ ও পবিত্র হইয়া প্রেমের হরিকে প্রাণ খুলে ডাকে; নরক আমার পক্ষে ভয়ের স্থান নয়। তোমাদিগকে সুখী ও প্রেমী দেখিয়া আমি মহানন্দে নরকেও কাল কাটাইতে পারিব।”
