“Be careful! never show contempt towards a Sadhu, even if he happens to be a beggar. Do not take the law into your own hands. It is safe to presume that some or other among these poor Vaishnavas and beggars may be a great saint. If you ill-treat even the worst among Sadhus, you are guilty of insulting a Vaishnava.”

“সাবধান ! সামান্য মাত্র ভেখ্‌ধারী সাধুকেও কদাচ ঘৃণা করিবেন না, সাধুর ভাল মন্দর বিচার আপনি করিতে যাইয়া আইনকে আপনার উপর আনা মূর্খতা মাত্র। বিচারের ভারটা বিচারককেই দেওয়া ভাল; এই সামান্য সামান্য গরীব ভিখারী বৈষ্ণবদেরও এক একজন মহাজন জ্ঞান করাই safe side. সাধু যেমনই হোক, অবমাননা করিবেন না।”
